Public Schools Are Important

Laura Wagner served the past three years on the North Kansas City School Board and is running for re-election 

and another three year term.

Laura served for five years on the North Kansas City School District Education Foundation Board in various roles, including Chair, reviewing and grading both grant and scholarship applications and hearing about efforts made by NKCSD teachers, 

librarians and staff to educate and inspire students.  

She served on the Industry Executive Council (IEC) for the District, introducing future career options to both students and teachers as the new Pathways program is developed, tying the Portrait of a Graduate work to actual careers after school.

Laura is currently the Chair of the Northland Regional Chamber of Commerce.

Laura Wagner has worked as a marketing and communications professional in Kansas City for over 25 years.  

She works at HNTB, and is a member of Laborers Local 264.

Laura and her husband, Scott have two boys who both attended school in the District, 

and live in Kansas City, MO in the Northland.
